Internet Marketing

Internet marketing is relatively new in most respects but its impact on business, particularly online is nothing short of astounding.  Internet sales have skyrocketed over the last decade despite a crippled economy.

That being said, many would be entrepreneurs find it difficult to crack the internet marketing code. Partially because there are so many tools, widgets and services out there it is hard to make heads or tails of it all. Not to worry.

Internet marketing is simple but not easy. Simple because regardless of  your purpose for internet marketing it all comes down to systems. Its not easy because you still have to set up the system or systems. Basically, your goal is to drive traffic. To where is completely up to you.

Driving traffic comes down to seo, ppc, article marketing, email marketing, social media, back links, rss and a plethora

of others strategies. The hard part is putting all the pieces together but when you do the rewards can be tremendous.

If you are marketing products, affiliate programs or a network marketing company setting up a system to drive traffic will explode your business. Do your research.

Look for a good system with a proven track record and you will be well on your way to internet profits.

Network Marketing

The business of the 21st Century- How to find the best MLM Opportunity.  Pt1

As my web presence grows I am constantly being approached with various MLM opportunities. I can certainly see why with our current economic conditions giving us so much uncertainty. Nevertheless, I am intrigue with such a wide variety of opportunities today. Not to mention glowing endorsements for MLM or network marketing from industry giants such as Donald Trump, Warren Buffett and Robert Kiyosaki to name a few. They all recommend you and I join network marketing companies if we hope to create financial freedom outside of building a system ourselves.

Even  noted economist, bestselling author and millionaire Paul Zane Pilzer suggests that there will be 10 million new millionaires that will come from the network marketing industry. If you are a network marketer that statement should really get your juices flowing.

That being said I thought I would do some research on the best MLM companies to join now. Before I get to the top 5 companies to join, it is only fair to first give you my criteria.

My 5 point criteria are as follows but in no particular order;

1. Compensation

2. Competition

3. Company Leadership

4. Product

5. Training/support/tools

First up…

Compensation-One of the biggest aspects of compensation that I look at is how lucrative the plan is and does it promote down-line growth. In other words, does the plan encourage uplines to support and grow their organization. Explaining the various comp plans is beyond the scope of this post but I will mention a few types. They are

Uni-Level MATRIX PLANS

FORCED MATRIX Pay Plans

INFINITY BONUSES

BREAK-AWAYS

BINARY PLANS

COMPRESSED

And a few others

Competition – When it comes to competition I must ask myself a few questions. How much competition is there? Is this product the first to market? How much market share could this product capture? Is this product category saturated? What makes this product different from similar products? The answer to these questions tells me a lot about the viability of the product.

Company leadership-Leadership is important because every company needs a vision which comes from the leader. You are looking for leaders that has experience in the field or a track record for success. Some MLM companies have long histories and track records which are good indicators as to the strength and direction of the company however, if there is strong leadership with financial intelligence, field experience and a vision that company has a chance of making it even without 10 plus years in existence.

Industry- Industry determines which pond you want to swim in. Some ponds are shallow while others are deep. Okay enough pond talk…..There are over 5 thousand network marketing companies in the US and about 80% are in the health and wellness sector. This is no doubt due to the 75 million baby boomers who want to look better and feel better. This sector will certainly create millionaires over the 10-15 years. Competition is fierce in this sector of the mlm industry making your chances of joining the right company even tougher. Mona Vie or Limu, Noni juice or Xango….decisions decisions.

Timing of a sector has to factor in as well for explosive growth. Investing in Microsoft now isn’t nearly as lucrative at it was 20 years ago. Understanding trends and positioning yourself in front of the trend is key! A product of service whose time has come is unstoppable.

Training/Support/Tools- Countless amounts of people leave their mlm company because they don’t get the proper support, training or tools needed to succeed. To be fair, many newcomers to network marketing will simply not “plug in” no matter how much support the company offers. That being said I have experienced being sponsored in an opportunity and my sponsor just simply disappears.

Some company training could be outdated or the tools ineffective or non-existent which could deter any newbie from the business. Make sure the proper training, support and tools are in place.

That’s all for part 1 check back for part 2 where I list my top 5 MLM companies to join now!

Fighting the evil forces of personal poverty – both yours and mine.

Cheers
